The Little Book of Hygge by Meik Wiking

This probably isn’t the first time you have heard of this book and I’m sure it won’t be the last. The Little Book of Hygge explores what it means to live like the Danish and how to bring more hygge into your home and life. This is a great read to help redefine what home means to you.

Hygge is about an atmosphere and an experience, rather than about things. It is about being with the people we love. A feeling of home.

Farrow & Ball. How to Decorate

I love Farrow & Ball paints. The colour schemes that they combine with their wallpapers are just beautiful. This book by Joa Studholme and Charlotte Cosby will teach you how to work with colour in your own home whilst also giving you a little insight into Farrow & Ball.

Resourceful Living by Lisa Dawson

Resourceful Living is full of tips & tricks on revamping your home with cleverly sourced vintage finds or existing pieces you already own.

This is a great book to read before starting a new interior project as it encourages conscious buying, which will help save you time and money. It is also packed with beautiful images that I could spend hours looking at.

Home. The Elements of Decorating

Home by Emma Blomfield is a great book if you are new to decorating and don’t know where to start. It is broken up into easy-to-follow chapters based on key rooms of the home and covers lots of essential points to consider when starting a project such as your needs and wants.
